Located just 80km from Faro Airport, this private villa offers grounds nestled in a magical valley where sparkling streams run through a woodland walk, surrounded by orange and lemon groves left over from its previous life as a countryside farm known as Pocilgais. With tranquil privacy right on the doorstep this secluded spot is not at all remote, being only a short drive to the spectacular beaches and resorts of Alvor, Praia da Rocha and Praia da Vau and about 15 minutes inland from the fishing port and city of Portimão.
The local town of Monchique offers a quaint setting with cobbled streets and local produce along with its own supermarket and an abundance of cafes and restaurants. Closer to home is the small settlement of Caldas de Monchique, one of the many beauty spots in the Algarve, known for its natural spring water which is thought to have healing properties. During the XIX Century, this area was favourited by the former Portuguese monarchy who often visited the Serra de Monchique for its relaxing atmosphere which is still enjoyed today by the Portuguese and tourists alike.
Quinta da Mimosa is equipped with everything you need for that well deserved get away, including free Wi-Fi and satellite television, a swimming pool and a jacuzzi spa.
